Meet Pastor S. Sihotang

Background & Calling
Pastors S. Sihotang grew up as a pastor’s son but initially pursued a career in healthcare, working as a Registered Nurse for over 15 years. His father’s spiritual journey, along with God’s gentle leading, eventually inspired him to surrender to the call of ministry. Once he said “yes” to God’s purpose, he experienced a deep peace and clarity.

Ministry Journey
Since August 2015, he has served at the Indonesian-American Seventh-day Adventist Church, celebrating 10 years of ministry with the congregation. He loves witnessing people grow spiritually, make commitments for baptism, and step into leadership roles with boldness and faith.

Passion in Ministry
Pastor S. Sihontang is especially passionate about personal ministry, evangelism, and mentorship. At the heart of his calling is a desire to help others deepen their walk with Jesus through intentional nurturing and discipleship.

Favorite Verse

“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.” – Ephesians 2:8
This verse is a constant reminder to him that salvation is a gift of grace, not something we earn.

Life Outside of Church
Beyond ministry, Pastor S. Sihotang enjoys staying active at the gym, planting trees, singing, traveling, and spending time with friends. These activities keep him refreshed and inspired for service.
